Python Pool
A great spot for a swim in a cool, refreshing rock pool against the stunning backdrop of ancient, rugged cliffs. Python Pool is accessible by gravel road, best suited to 4WD vehicles.
Deep Reach Pool
Located in Millstream and sacred to the Yindjibarndi People. A peaceful place for a tranquil swim. As a sign of respect, please ensure noise is kept to a minimum.
Jirndawurrunha Pool
Swimming is not permitted at Jirndawurrunha Pool or surrounding streams because of this site’s deep cultural significance to the Yindjibarndi People.
Trails and Hiking
Walking trails within the park include:
Cliff Top Walk (600m, Class 2)
Offers a stunning view of Fortescue River.
The Warrungunha Trail (8km, Class 3)
This hike takes you through woodlands and is dotted with iconic Australian flora.
The Red Roo Trail (7.5km, Class 3)
This is both a walk and cycle trail which starts at the Millstream Homestead car park and ends at the Deep Reach Pool car park.
Python Pool (200m, Class 3)
Python Pool is the shortest trail in the park.
Chichester Range Cameleer Trail (8km, Class 4)
This 8 kilometre bush walk (or 16 kilometre return), will take you all day to complete, and is best suited for advanced hikers. The trail follows part of the old camel trail and features steep slopes, natural obstacles and loose rocks.
Homestead Walk (750m, Class 1)
This family-friendly bush walk takes less than an hour to complete at just 750 metres in length. The walk trail begins at the historic Millstream Station homestead and meanders through towering paperbark trees, introduced date palms and pools of freshwater.
