Day 1-3: Onslow Exploration

If you have a boat or jet ski, navigate out to the Mackerel Islands for a some of the most beautiful and secluded islands, explore the reefs, nature watching and some of the best offshore fishing WA has to offer. Day 4: Onward to Cheela Plains
Head off to Cheela Plains Station Stay (about a 3 hour drive, 265km).
After check in and getting your access key, set up camp or enjoy the luxury of a cabin and then set off to explore of the station’s gorges, enjoy a star filled night sky by the camp fire either at the homestead campground or at your own wilderness camp.

Day 5-6: Reload and Refresh in Tom Price
Making your way through to Paraburdoo, the birthplace of Red Dog.
Visit the Red Dog statue in honour of the famous ‘Pilbara Wanderer’ and fuel up at one of the local cafes. Discover the Resilience Sculpture before soaking in the panoramic views of the Hamersley Ranges enroute to Tom Price.
Upon reaching Tom Price, savour a freshly brewed coffee at one of the town’s many cafes or coffee vans.
Visit the Tom Price Visitor Centre in the town centre for local insights and book in for a Rio Tinto Iron Ore Mine Tour.
After lunch explore town. If you have kids, the skate park and state of the art pump track are sure to be favourites or cool down at the local swimming pool.
Head to the Tom Price Tourist Park, surrounded by the majestic Mount Nameless/Jarndunmunha. Check-in and unwind in the natural surroundings.
The next morning check in at the Tom Price Visitor Centre for your Mine Tour.
The tour takes you to the Rio Tinto Tom Price Open Cut Iron Ore Mine, exploring one of the world’s largest open-cut iron ore mines. Witness the mining operations, from haul trucks to the train loading area.
On your return to Tom Price, grab picnic supplies, and head to Hamersley Gorge for a relaxing afternoon. Immerse yourself in the ancient landscape, enjoy a picnic by the water, and explore the picturesque Spa Pool.

Day 7 - 8: Karijini Country!
Start your day with breakfast and a coffee in Tom Price before beginning your journey towards the awe of the Karijini National Park.
First stop is Weano Gorge where you can spend the day can exploring Handrail Pool and the Spider Walk at Hancock Gorge before checking in to the Karijini Eco Retreat in the afternoon or to set up camp for the night.
Complete your day dining out at the unforgettable Karijini Outback Restaurant dining of succulent food, watching the sun set through the ghost gums and the golden hues of the spinifex - absolutely stunning.

Day 8: Karijini Exploration Continues
Start your day with a short walk to Joffre Falls lookout. The lookout offers breathtaking views of the gorge and waterfall. Follow the trail of rocks and ladders down into the gorge and pool for a refreshing dip.
Pack a picnic and head to Kalamina Gorge, a wide gorge perfect for a relaxing family walk and picnic.
Afterwards visit the Karijini Visitor Centre to explore exhibits about the local area. Head to Dales Gorge, and take an afternoon swim at Fortescue Falls and Fern Pool. Don’t forget your pool noodle!
Conclude your day with some star gazing. Enjoy the spectacular view of the Milky Way in the clear night sky.
